#Adobe creative cloud desktop uofa mac os
this has been an issue since High Sierra on Mac and through all CC updates and Mac OS updates. For the record, I also deleted every single Adobe file individually before restart/reinstall.to no avail. And while the "Correct Answer" may be the "recommended" process to complete in order to fix this, it has not worked for me. Hopefully someone at Adobe can get this fixed. I also have tried turning GPU off, stopping font syncing, lowering screen resolution, and more. I did clear all custom icons and disabled all previews/thumbnails/icons (which is REALLY annoying to not be able to see any icons), and it didn't do any good. Has anyone else noticed that "iconservicesagent" also sucks a lot more CPU/Memory when Adobe CC is installed? And when Adobe Desktop Service is running (which is ALWAYs unless I force quit it)? When I force quit iconservicesagent, I get a noticable reduction in "hotness" of Adobe processes. Side note that seems to also be Adobe Related memory drain when ADS is not force quit:
Saw no ill effects in Adobe ID, AI, AE, AN or AU. Of course, the Mac is primarily for Design IN Adobe so that is not an option.įYI: I did force quit ADS, and Photoshop crashed without recovering saves (yes my preferences are set to save every 10 min). When I completely uninstall all Adobe, and use the Adobe cleaner tools, Mac works great, stays nice and cool. Yes I've read every forum on it, yes I've contacted support (we are 2 months running with emails back and forth of screenshots, screen videos, etc, of MY time to fix their issue), and Apple Support could not find any Mac/Apple/OS issues.

If I open software with CC Desktop "quit" the processes spike again, even more. If I quit Adobe CC Desktop App, it does not kill any of those processes.

As soon as I start to move or resize items in ANY Adobe software (indesign, photoshop, illustrator, animate specifically), the memory use and CPU% spikes making the laptop too hot, then kerneltask and WindowServer go berzerk I guess trying to cool it down or deal with some weird huge graphics processing grab just to move a box? Running SMC Fancontrol full speed at all times barely helps when ADS and Core Sync and Core Sync Helper star flaring.Īgain, this happens with file syncing paused and no Adobe apps open. So then, let's say I open anything Adobe. Not CC Desktop, nor any single software like Ps.
Sometimes Core Sync passes it, even, again, with NOTHING Adobe open. I did all suggested, twice, and still, Adobe Desktop Service continually uses more memory than anything on my computer-even with no Adobe software open. PLEASE fix this Adobe! I know that with computers getting faster processors you can get away with more background crud going, but it's really frustrating that even working offline doesn't seem to slow these processes down. Thanks to the helpful suggestions above for what to kill, and assurances that it doesn't seem to break anything, I've had the confidence to go ahead and quit the processes, at least while I don't have any CC Products open. (Core Sync also has the Listening doodad often.) My Intego security software shows the following internet connections in this state: See screen shot of the Activity Monitor below. If I have once opened a Creative Cloud program, and then quit all Adobe programs, Creative Cloud, and the Overall Adobe program that manages updates, the CoreSync, CCLibrary, CCXProcess, and Adobe Desktop Services processes are still running, even though the little Adobe icon in the top bar of my computer for the program to get updates is closed. And I don't even have an account in the cloud! I never use the on-line options, but I guess it's constantly syncing just in case I start? Or is it just making sure I really have a license?

It started again for me with an update as well.
